Established in 1998 as an intermediary company for the rawhide leather market, QUID subsequently went on to move into the wet blue and crust leather markets. Riccardo Masiero, in his role as the sole owner, strives to ensure a personal and professional service consisting of presence, the utmost transparency and quality which goes above and beyond standard expectations.

The name Quid was inspired by the Latin phrase “Ne quid nimis”, literally meaning, “nothing in excess”, or rather, “all things in moderation”.
NIMIS is the name of the business owned by Riccardo’s father, Gianfranco. An engineer by trade, Gianfranco runs his business together with his partner Maurizio, specialising in finished leathers. The complimentary nature of the businesses allows Riccardo to work closely with them in a collaborative capacity.

QUID’s hides come from several sources, including the Russian Federation, Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and some Baltic states.
